Who We Are
The Recognized Apex Body for Nigerian Youth
The NYCN is the recognized apex umbrella body for youth organizations in Nigeria. The European and Greek branches were established to foster unity, provide socio-economic empowerment, and facilitate engagement with the Nigerian Embassy for youth living abroad.
The National Youth Council of Nigeria was established in 1964 and given legal recognition in 1990. It operates as the umbrella body and mouthpiece for Nigerian youth, affiliated to the World Assembly of Youth and Pan-African Youth Union.
The NYCN Greece Chapter operates under the umbrella of the NYCN Europe Chapter, governed by Ambassador Collins Osazee Idahosa as Governor/President, with Stanley Aghator serving as the designated Youth Ambassador for Greece.

Membership
Who can join NYCN Greece
Any Nigerian youth living, studying, or working in Greece is welcome to join. There are no age restrictions beyond identifying as a young Nigerian and being based in Greece.
How much does membership cost?
Membership in NYCN Greece is completely free. We believe every Nigerian youth deserves access to our community, resources, and support regardless of financial situation.
How do i apply to become a member?
Simply visit our Membership page and fill out the online application form. Our team will review your application and reach out within 48 hours to welcome you.
What are the benefits of becoming a member?
Members gain access to our legal aid referral network, career development programs, cultural events, scholarship information, welfare support, and priority registration for all NYCN events.
Can I still attend events as a non-member?
Many of our community events are open to all. However, members receive priority registration, exclusive invitations, and full access to welfare and career services.

How do i register for NYCN Greece
Visit the Events page on our website, find the event you’re interested in, and click ‘Secure Your Place’. Fill out the short registration form and you’re confirmed.
Are NYCN events Free to attend?
Most of our community events, workshops, and advocacy sessions are free. Some special events like cultural galas may have a nominal contribution this is always communicated in advance.
How will I know when new events are announced?
New events are announced on our website, WhatsApp group, Facebook page, and Instagram. Becoming a member ensures you receive direct notifications about upcoming events.
Can I bring a guest to any of the events
Yes! Many of our events welcome guests. The registration form will indicate if a +1 or additional guests are permitted for that specific event.
